WORD OF THE LORD FOR HOUSTON
PASTOR KERRY KIRKWOOD

SOUNDS OF GLORY CONFERENCE
MARCH 18, 2010

Earlier this evening as we were worshiping the Lord and  trying to listen  for that sound, I heard the Lord say something over Houston that I’ve never thought of even having prayed over this city and not from being in this region.

I saw a ship in dry dock. They were enjoying the fellowship of the ship and yet the Lord was calling them into leadership. And He is saying, I’m going to cause there to be a storm out of the north that comes to shake off the chains that have brought it to dry dock and to restore it to a place of  the stewardship of the manifold gifts of God that He has set in this city.  And there will be people coming out of the north even for ministry into this city, for there is a firestorm that is going to break out even from the roots up that will not be one dimension or a one man-made thing.  There will be such a sovereign thing that rises up that they will come out of the north and even begin to say “We want to stand and be a part of this shipping, this transporting, this movement of the Spirit of the Lord”.

And these chains that had this thing locked into dry dock were greed and hoarding — and the Lord has called this city into stewardship, not into greed and hoarding.  So I want to right now break these things that release us from the comfort of fellowship, as great as that is, so that this ship will move, that this ship has movement beginning to take place. It will no longer be anchored and pulled up but we are seeing movement in the spirit and movement in Houston.  Houston, we have movement!

In the name of Jesus we speak out of this city of refuge, that people are coming out of the north country looking for Word, when there is a season of famine on the Word of God, on depth of the Word of God, and they are coming into this city as a place of refuge. And we break the spirit of greed that has chained this ship to the dock. We say, “No more will you be self-contained, no more mazes where you are ingrown and harboring out of that for we call you into a destiny of stewardship and we call you into a destiny of leadership and we call this ship to rise up and raise the sails that allow the second Wind of the Spirit beginning to flow once again”.

O Lord.  O blow, wind, blow again. Move us into your path, O God, and move us right into a destination and into Your face again.  We receive it , O Lord. We receive the stewardship,  O Lord. We receive the leadership, O God. We receive the responsibility to carry the mantle that was dropped.  Don’t let another pick it up, O God.  We take it. We take that mantle  and say, “Let it be this year, let it be this year; send the wind to move us out of being landlocked and let us out on the deep. The deep is where you called the ship.  The deep is where you called this city. Raise it up, O Lord,  now! Not as just a city of wealth but that we’re wealthy in the riches and blessings of God, that the riches of the Lord so far surpass the riches that come out of the ground.   The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof, and they belong to Him, but God’s going to bring a stewardship out of this city that’s going to be  transported and shipped around this nation and into the nations of the world where the glory of the Lord is going to be a deposit.

Now let it began to rise out.  Out of Genesis 11 when he says that after Noah prepared everything he did, he had to wait on God, and the fountains of the deep began to erupt, the fountains of the deep began to erupt before the heavens opened.  See, we have been calling for the heavens to open and yet we’ve never spoken to the depths.  Deep calls unto deep.  Deep down, O God.  We speak to the hidden ones, those underground streams that have been parallel but they’ve never connected. Let the streams, O Lord  begin to connect. Let it just move out of the banks that it will no longer be that stream and this stream and another stream, but that we become the streams of the city of our God.

Out of Your temple let it arise so that it begins to break through in the earth. The sound coming of the earth is that we are not of this one or that one but that we are the streams of the city of God.  And the noise of thy water spouts, O Lord, and the sounds that are coming forth from the streams that move as one river, shall break the sound barriers and the soul barriers and erupt  as one sound in the earth again. And then the Lord will open the windows of heaven.

There is coming a synchronization,  not a discord but a chord which is a connection of every sound coming together that is in accord together, and the synchronization of heaven and the eruption of earth is coming together and then He shall be known as the Lord God who rides upon the flood. Edge.  He wants us right on the edge, the cutting edge of the flood. So I declare to this city that you will be a steward of the manifold grace of God.   A stewardship anointing is on this city to steward the goings and the movings and the processing, the PRO cessing of the presence of God.  And they will come to imbibe and to indulge and to be born in Zion again and again.  Hallelujah!
